Against the backdrop of economic crisis and an ever more precarious, thousands of workers lose their jobs. The purchasing power of households is declining and the response from the Italian government are just slogans and demagoguery. The parliament tutto, invece di proporre soluzioni concrete ai problemi reali, limita sempre di più i diritti dei lavoratori, attacca il diritto di Sciopero e quello di manifestare, opera tagli indiscriminati al settore pubblico (come nel caso eclatante di scuola e Università con la contro-riforma Gelmini), si prodiga in politiche repressive e razziste. Ciò non fa che aumentare il disagio economico e sociale, aumenta la percezione di insicurezza dei ceti popolari ed individua nel diverso un nemico da abbattere.

In questo quadro proliferano i gruppi dell’estrema destra neofascista che, con una propaganda populista e razzista, cercano di fare proseliti fra i giovani e i disoccupati.

In una società che sdogana la ronda come soluzione all’insicurezza, in uno stato in cui l’esercito può assumere dei compiti di polizia, con un governo che si appresta a inasprire la repressione contro il dissenso, le forze neofasciste si sentono legittimate a riuscire allo scoperto, con il loro razzismo e la loro violenza.

Oltre a rivendicare la superiorità della razza, sono i protagonisti di violenze contro i “diversi”, cavalcando la crescende xenofobia di stato. Oltre a rivendicare il fascismo ed il nazismo, il solo linguaggio che conoscono è quello delle cinghie, dei bastoni e delle lame.

Nella nostra provincia le loro attività sono ben note, i loro vigliacchi attacchi a compagni e a sedi di associazioni o partiti Antifascisti sono già stati registrati e denunciati.

Il 28 febbraio a Bergamo l’Italia ha assistito alla parata dei camerati, ben atrezzati di mazze e bastoni dal diametro di almeno un paio di dita. La polizia li ha scortati facendoli sfilare anche senza permesso. Il 9 marzo a Torino la polizia in tenuta antisommossa ha difeso la propaganda illegale dei fascisti universitari, pestando a sangue gli studenti lì radunati per protestare. Ai movimenti Antifascisti vengono sempre riservate manganellate e cariche, la maggior parte delle volte senza aver commesso alcun atto illegale. Piazza Navona ci ha insegnato come il fascista sia protetto and subsidized by the state.
